¡The great indoor flying event in Madrid is back! This year, on October 31st and November 1st, we’ll gather at Windobona Madrid to celebrate another edition of the WINDOBONA OPEN, with more teams, more excitement, and new categories in the national indoor flying competition.

Event Objectives

• Challenge and Excite: Inspire participants to overcome new challenges and enjoy the experience while showcasing their flying skills.
• Visual Appeal: Present an engaging image of wind tunnel flight for competitors, spectators, and media.
• Encourage Competitive Spirit: Promote healthy competition, teamwork, idea exchange, and strengthen relationships among athletes, judges, and technical staff.
• Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the exchange of experiences and information, and improve assessment methods.
• Celebrate Achievements: Recognize and reward exceptional performances across various competition categories.
• Promote Flight Disciplines: Develop formation, dynamic, and artistic flight among enthusiasts, enhancing community visibility and growth.

Competition disciplines

• Formation Skydiving 4-Way (AAA and AA): Teams of four flyers perform specific formations and blocks requiring coordination and communication to complete each round, aiming to score as many points as possible over 10 rounds.
• Dynamic 2-Way: Pairs demonstrate vertical flight skills in the wind tunnel, executing movements as quickly as possible in qualifying rounds, followed by “battles” where teams compete head-to-head.
• Freestyle: Individual participants are evaluated on their ability to perform creative acrobatic movements within the wind tunnel over five rounds, including mandatory moves and free rounds to showcase creativity.
• Solo Speed: Similar to Dynamic, this discipline focuses on speed in executing movements within the tunnel, utilizing the entire space and minimizing errors to complete the course as quickly as possible.

Rules

The 2025 Windobona Open will be governed by the FAI international regulations.

Registration

The registration fee includes:

• Speed test on the afternoon of October 30, 2025.
• A goodie bag with sports equipment from WINDOBONA and other sponsors.
• One meal per participant each day (Friday and Saturday).
• Access to the competition closing party after the awards ceremony.
• Training time: €470/hour.

Teams must register by October 27, 2025 (limited spots available per discipline):

• Early Registration: Before July 31, 2025
• Regular Registration: Until September 15, 2025
• Late Registration: From September 16 to October 27, subject to availability

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded to outstanding participants in each category, in addition to medals:

1. Formation Skydiving 4-Way (AAA):

   • 1st Place: €1,000 cash prize
   • 2nd Place: 1 hour of tunnel time
   • 3rd Place: 15 minutes of tunnel time

2. Dynamic 2-Way:

   • 1st Place: €1,000 cash prize
   • 2nd Place: 1 hour of tunnel time
   • 3rd Place: 15 minutes of tunnel time

3. Freestyle:

   • 1st Place: €500 cash prize
   • 2nd Place: 1 hour of tunnel time
   • 3rd Place: 15 minutes of tunnel time

4. Solo Speed:

   • 1st Place: €500 cash prize
   • 2nd Place: 1 hour of tunnel time
   • 3rd Place: 15 minutes of tunnel time

his championship is designed for everyone, including athletes aiming to give their best, as well as their companions and families who want to watch and enjoy various activities. A “Food Truck” will be available on-site, and the event will be streamed live to ensure you don’t miss any action. This championship promises to be epic, and you won’t want to miss it.
